California wildfire causing hazy skies in San Diego; extreme heat warning later this week

San Diego (Fox 5/Kusi) – Some parts of the Eastern San Diego district and Imperial County will be under excessive heat warning this week, while the burning fires in the center of California brought a misty sky to San Diego during the weekend.

In an area under an excessive heat warning, the national weather service recommends to limit the time spent outside, to drink plenty of water, to wear light and loose clothes, and to draw attention for heat stroke symptoms.

While excessive heat warnings are in force, there are public cooling centers in San Diego district for anyone who needs a safe place to stay.
