Stella Rimington, first female MI5 chief, dies aged 90 | MI5

Dame Stella Rimington, MI5’s first female manager, died at the age of 90.

When he entered the role, he was accepted as the model of Dame Judi Dench’s M in James Bond films, which was described as “Housewife Superspy”.

He was born on May 13, 1935 in South Norwood in London and died on Sunday night.

His family said in a statement that he was on his beloved life until his last breath, surrounded by his beloved family and dogs, ”.
