Mr Bay Adhikari, who traveled to Coochbehar to attend a protest rally by BJP, said, “They shattered the windows of a bullet -proof vehicle. I was saved because I was in a bullet -proof car. I knew it would happen.
More than one vehicle in the protest rally, including LOP traveling, was allegedly attacked with stones in Khagrabari in the Coochbehar region. The windshields and rear window panels of some vehicles were shattered.
BJP leader and former Union Minister Nisith Panik, who accompanied the LOP, claimed that Trinamool Congress Minister Udayan Ghaha organized the attack.
“We knew that Mr. Guha had a plan to target us as he entered Coochbehar.
However, Mr. Guha rejected the reports of the alleged attack in Khargrabari and said that the local police had made enough arrangements to ensure law and order.
