Centre urges States to use India Cine Hub portal to facilitate global film production locally

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, the Ministry of Information and Publication called on the Indian Cine Hub portal to facilitate global film construction locally, and also offered a roadmap to promote low -cost cinemas.

At the conference attended by the Secretaries of Information and Public Relations of the State and Union Region, the Minister of Information and Publication L. Murugan said that the portal was renewed to a unified window system that provides fluent access to filmmaking permits and services throughout the country.

“CBS supports the ease of doing business with its features and common forms and exhibits India’s film -friendly policies under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

The Minister emphasized the base cinema initiatives aimed at strengthening women and local communities through low -cost theaters. He said that large global activities such as Waves 2025 and IFFI GOA attracted global talents, increases India’s creative economy, encourages cultural diplomacy around the world and strengthens tomorrow’s creative minds.

He said that the recently released Indian Creative Technology Institute will manage the youth in animation, games, music and other creative fields.

Secretary of I & B Sanjay Jaju emphasized the role of central government cooperation in effective communication and media development. He emphasized the need for digital creators to strengthen the rise of local media and the installation of information and public relations at the regional level. The authority called on all states to integrate all states into the press Sewa portal for softer broadcasting processes and to mark concerns about discrete responsibilities in the media departments in the states.

Mr. Jaju stated that initiatives such as Cine Cine Hub are introduced to encourage film construction and to make creators earn money from the content and emphasized the need to expand beyond metropolises and support local skills.

An important focal area of the conference was the sensitivity and recruitment of relevant civil servants from the states on the press Sewa portal and union regions. Seven states and two unity regions completed the fully integration, and 21 states and six unity regions took place through a joint application form.
