Targeting of Quds Force shows growing breach in Iranian intelligence security

If Israel’s last claims are confirmed, Saeed Izadi and Behnam Shahryari assassinations represent a major blow to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Elit Quds Force for the overseas operation with armed groups in the region.

Izadi, a senior Quds Force Commander in charge of Coordination with Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups, was reportedly killed in an apartment in the Shiite Holy City. Shahryari, the president of the 190 unit, responsible for smuggling weapons and funds to Iran’s regional deputies, was assassinated by a drone strike in Western Iran.

Izadi played a central role in coordinating Tehran’s support for Palestinian armed groups, and the Palestinian armed group Hamas, who carried out the Southern Israeli attack on October 7, was reported to be effective in arms and financing.

Israel’s army President Eyal Zamir, Izadi’s assassination “very key in the front war,” he said.

“The blood of thousands of Israelis is in the hands,” the pronoun said. “This is a tremendous intelligence and operational success.”

Izadi survived an Israeli air strike in April 2024, which aimed at the Iranian Consulate in Damascus in Syria – an attack that killed several senior Quds force commanders.

The target of Izadi and Shahyari follows a wave of assassination targeting senior Iranian military officials and emphasizes that many of them see as a growing violation in the intelligence community of Iran.

Last week, Iran State TV released images showing camouflaged trucks and vans that are allegedly used to carry the plane with images of temporary FPV drone factories in the south of Tehran.

Some Afghan was accused and accused of espionage for Mossad, including refugees. Human Rights groups are afraid that authorities can use the accusations of espionage as an excuse to arrest the government or everyone who opposes the government and criticizes the country’s leadership.

Authorities were so worried about infiltration that a few days ago, all protection staff ordered them not to use smartphones connected to the internet for communication. The police chief asked the public to inform the police to companies or individuals in recent years or to the police.

Israel attacked Iran on June 13, but a hidden conflict has been boiling for more than twenty years characterized by sabotage, cyber attacks and targeted murders.

Nuclear scientists and QUDS commanders in Syria and Iran were often targeted. Israel’s spy agency Mossad is believed to be behind most of these operations.

One of the most dramatic sections occurred in 2018, when MOSSAD agents infiltrated a highly safe warehouse in a militarized suburb of Tehran. They entered Vauls and took over thousands of secret Iran’s nuclear documents and carried them physically to Tel Aviv. The operation stunned Iran’s intelligence community.

To date, Iranian officials remain mysterious. Earlier this year, former Iranian Intelligence Minister Mahmud Alavi admitted that Iranian services had no idea how the storage of hidden nuclear documents was still violated and how the people behind it were detected.

A name stood out in the stolen documents: Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who played an important role in Iran’s nuclear program. Israel accused him of working on nuclear weapons. Iran rejects the existence of such a project.

In 2020, Fakhrizadeh was assassinated with a remote -controlled gun activated by agents near Tehran. In spite of warnings, including Alavi, intelligence failure was total.

The scope of MOSSAD’s infiltration of Iran to intelligence services has long been a matter of speculation. In 2021, former President Mahmud Ahmadinejad claimed that Iran’s opposite -mossad unit was the president of the mossad unit itself – that this individual was later arrested and executed.

In the same year, former Intelligence Minister Ali Younesi warned that “Mossad is closer to us than our own ears,” and underlined the perceived depth of the Israeli leakage.

In recent years, it is believed that Israel has previously positioned small drones and explosives in Iran, trained operators and planting them close to their homes and radar and missiles.

In his first attack on June 13, Israel killed the best Iranian military figures, including the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Chief of General Staff of the General Staff and the President of the ICGC Missile and Aviation and Space Departments and a number of nuclear scientists.

Each successful operation points to a disturbing truth for Iran’s leadership: their internal security is deeply endangered.
