Hyd Start-Up Sow&Reap Earns Carbon Credits For Sustainable Paddy Cultivation

Haydarabad: Sow & Reap Agro, the leading climate technology in Hyderabad, headquartered, said that he has given carbon loans according to the Gold Standard of Certification for Paddy Cultivation.

The company obtained 37,405 carbon loans for the ‘Varri’ project, which is a sustainable paddy cultivation program that uses alternative wetting and drying (AWD) method in cooperation with the Koser climate. This method contains controlled irrigation cycles instead of continuous floods.

In the last three years, Sow & Reap has established a partnership with 35,000 farmers from Sow & Reap, Jagtial, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Nagar Kurnool, Narayanpet, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircla and Wanaparthy.

The project offered increased paddy yields, less water consumption and lower fertilizer use while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

“This Milestone Stands as a Testament to the Collective Efforts of Our Farmers, Partners, and Telangriculture Department. (DMRV) Solution, We Are Reducing Gas Emissions and Also Creating New Income Streams For Farmers Through Credits, ”Said Suraj Teja, Founder and CEO, Sow & Reap.

At the center of this successful project, the DMRV, a registered Blockchain -supported software of the company, ensures the traceability and transparency of the entire process from field -level data to carbon credit export.

The project was recorded to Gold Standard, a global certificate body that confirms the impact of sustainable projects around the world in the voluntary carbon market and confirms carbon control.
