Bangladesh ICT Rejects Lawyer’s Plea To Represent Sheikh Hasina | World News

DHAKA: On Tuesday, the Bangladesh International Crime Court (BIT) rejected the application of Zi Khan Panna, a senior high court lawyer to represent former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for crimes against humanity due to last year’s demonstrations. Analysts think that the decision constitutes a justice transvestite that rejects the right to represent Hasina in the case.
In the local media, the application was opened by Nazneen Nahar on behalf of Panna in the court who wanted to defend Hasina in the case. The court said that the application could not be accepted by questioning the purpose of the application during the testimony stage.
