Unidentified man charred to death while sleeping in parked bus in Bengaluru

An unidentified man was killed on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at a school bus parked in the BMBR layout in Banaswadi on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.

Passers of the road noticed the fire on the bus and warned the fire control room. Fire and emergency service personnel ran there and extinguished the fire before saving the body.

Police said the man was killed while sleeping. They found a bed and a pillow and a few smoked beedis around the body. They took a suspicious death cases and changed the body after mortem.

Police suspects that death was caused by an accidental fire, which was fired by the burning Beedis. The officers did not exclude the possibility of foul play and launched investigations to determine the identity of the dead.

The bus belonging to ARUN and a few months after it was parked on the roadside. The vehicle was 14 years old and did not have any documents or insurance. Police said the owner plans to sell on the bus.
