Holiday declared for schools – The Hindu

All the government, Zilla Parishad, auxiliary and private schools in the Medchal-Malkajgiri region will remain closed on Thursday, considering heavy rain forecast.

Regional collector M. Manu Chowdary, after a examination with the authorities on Wednesday, directed the regional education office with orders.

Several private schools in Ranga Redy and Hyderabad regions voluntarily declared a holiday on Thursday.

Previously, on Tuesday, an official order made by the School Education Department declared half a day for schools on August 13 (Wednesday) and 14 (Thursday) GHMC.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, the school training department, which draws attention to heavy rainfall forecast, declared a holiday for all schools in Sanggarereddy, Medak and Vikarabad regions on Thursday.
