Quail, the first three Shelby GT 500 brings together – since 1967, the first California view
Quail, a motor sports meeting The first three Shelby GT 500 cars that have been built so far will come together in Californiya since they served as company cars for Shelby American in 1967. Coordinated by Shelby research group, the screen will include Shelby’s first Fastback, Coupe and Cabrio to launch Shelby’s Big-Block Mustang program.
This showcase of the first 7.0 -liter Shelby GT 500S is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the legendary small small block model by completing the Special Shelby Mustang GT 350 class of the event.
In 1966, Shelby American, who had Ford and Carroll Shelby’s victory against Ferrari in Le Mans, announced his plans for the 1967 series-428-8V “Ford Cobra” introduced the big block and added different fiberglass body components, aggressive and coupe variants.
“Built in November 1966, these three cars were ordered in the same way-Candyapple Red with black interior spaces, distinguished shift automatically, air conditioning, MAG star rims and am radios-tam what you expect for public relations cars,” he said. “The first pair of quads produced by Ford were the Great Block Mustangs and the first GT 500s were served and completed by Shelby American.”
Fastback (#0100) was completed first, then Coupe (#0131) and Cabrio (#0139). Fastback has fulfilled its role as a magazine test car, but production bottlenecks and other problems prevented more impacts and transformations, leaving both as a structure.
