Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in India’s competitive telekom industry is actively trying to reclaim its market share. The telecom company operated by the state continues to raise the infrastructure and technologies of Mukesh Ambani’s Reance Jio and Sunil Mittal to compete with Bharti Airtel. In an interview with BSNL’s Ettelecom, the Minister of Union Communication Communication Minister Jyytiraditya Smindia again confirmed the commitment of rapid expansion of the 4G infrastructure created and implemented as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat program. Last year, BSNL completed the largest capital expenditure of 25,000 RS. The additional 47,000 RS investment will accelerate the installation of 100,000 4G towers throughout the country.

The Minister stressed that India has been one of the few countries with a completely indigenous telecom pile since he decided to use domestic technologies to create BSNL’s network. The upcoming expansion will increase the scope in rural and isolated areas and will form the basis of future commercial 5G services.

What is BSNL’s Re 1 offer?

For new users, BSNL launched a limited -time freedom offer to emphasize the 4G network. The package, which only costs 1 again, offers 100 SMS messages per day, 2GB 4G data per day (falling to 40kbps after the speed limit) and unlimited local and STD voice calls. The price also contains a new SIM card.

The promotion is accessible only through BSNL stores and joint service centers (CSCs) and is good until 31 August 2025. Existing BSNL customers are not appropriate and it is not yet known whether home distribution services are available.
