Shubhanshu Shukla returns to India; likely to meet PM Modi

Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla returned to India in the early hours of Sunday, August 17, 2025 after a visit to the International Space Station (ISS). Last year, the US education for the AXiom-4 mission of ISS last year, Union Minister Jitendra Singh, Delhi Prime Minister Rekha Gupta and Isro President V. Naradanan was greeted at the airport.
Mr. Shukla’s spare astronaut Prarashath Balakrishnan Nair returned to the homeland.
Mr. Shukla is expected to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and travel to his hometown Lucknow in a short time. It is also expected to return to the capital to attend the National Space Day celebrations on 22-23 August.

India’s space victory is touching the Indian territory … The iconic son of the Mother India, #gaganatri Shubhanshu Shukla, descends to Delhi in the early hours of this morning. Another successful group captain Prarashath Balakrishnan Nair, one of the astronauts chosen for Gaganyaan, the first human mission of India, who accompanied India’s International Space Station #ISS, said.
On Saturday, Mr Shukla published a smiling photo sitting on an plane on Instagram, he was full of mixed emotions when leaving the United States, and he was looking forward to returning to India to share his experiences with everyone in the house.

“When I sit on the plane to return to India, I have a mixture of emotions passing through my heart.
“After getting an incredible love and support from everyone during and after the task, I can’t wait to return to India to share my experiences with all of you. Farewell is hard, but we must continue to move in life. Commander Peggy Whitson’s love, ‘The only fixed change in space flight.’ I believe this also applies to life ”.
Mr Shukla also wrote, “I think at the end of the day, Hi Chal Chal Rahi-Jeevan Gaadi Hai Samay Pahiya ‘”, on June 25, just before starting the Axiom-4 task Bollywood film Swades wrote the song.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who addressed the 79th Independence Day celebrations in Red Fort, said that India developed its own space station on Friday, August 15, 2025 and returned from a space mission of group captain Shukla.
Modi, “Our group has returned from the captain Shubhanshu Shukla space station. He’s going back to India in the coming days.” He said.
Mr. Shukla was part of the Axiom-4 special space mission, which was removed from Florida on June 25 and placed at the International Space Station on June 26th. He returned to Earth on July 15th.
Together with the other three astronauts-Peggy Whitson (USA), Slawosz Uznanski-Wisniewski (Poland) and Tibor Kapu (Hungary) -Bay Shukla, more than 60 experimental and 20 access sessions during the 18-day mission.
