More than 2,500 immigrants, numbers from home office show, France with the new “one, an exit” agreement has entered into force in eleven days of small boats passed the channel.

The plan suggests that for every immigrant, Britain returned to France and that another person with asylum cases in England will be allowed to remain.

This year, approximately 28,000 people have reached the UK on small boats, and the worker has been more than 50,000 since it came to power in July 2024.

In the meantime, more than 100 people, so -called mega bots, people’s smugglers can use larger boats to illegally carry people because of concerns that this week was reported on the channel.

Home Office officials are trying to determine whether the mega Dinghy presence is one -time or whether the gangs are starting to use larger boats.

Rob Lawrie, a volunteer charity worker, said that the Smarters can send up to 150 people to a boat on Friday.

“This is much more people, an extra big boat becomes overcrowded,” he said.

He continued: “Not only in a hurry, but also the boat itself has already reported that they are crushed.”

He added how many people fell into the sea during the transitions.

Transitions tend to increase in the summer months when the air is calm in the channel. Last August, more than 4,000 people went on a journey.

These numbers may vary depending on the factors, such as the supply of boat parts and how actively patrolling the police on the beaches in Northern France to prevent the release of boats.

Between 2021-2025, it is a line graph that shows a cumulative number of people who pass the British channel on small boats every year between 2021-2025. Every year, it is represented by a line following the numbers between January -December. 2021 saw the lowest level of the five years, the highest with 28,526 and 2022 45.774. Until this year, a total of 25,436 until August 5, this is the highest level of this point of any of the others.

“Out, one” pilot scheme Prime Minister Sir Keir was founded as part of an agreement announced by Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron During his visit to England in July.

The first group of people who came under the program was detained in Dover at the beginning of this month. The lifting to France has not yet happened and it could take up to three months.

When labor came to power, he promised to break down the gangs organizing the transitions, but warned that it would not be fast or easy. Ministers are now under pressure to make results, but the deterrent effect of the return agreement may not be clear until the exiles start seriously and to the increase in number.

Speaking about the first detention, Sir Keir, “If you break the law to enter this country, you will encounter being sent back. When I say that I will not stand to secure our borders, I mean it.”

The project will see that England has accepted an equal number of asylum seekers who do not try to pass and pass on safety and conformity controls.

Shadow Interior Minister Chris Philp criticized the government’s new agreement as “no deterrent effect”.

National Crime Agency, smugglers were a bit successful in disrupting the business model, he said.

Last week, 20 swelling boats, believed to be targeted for the channel, were seized from a truck in Bulgaria – this kind of second discovery in less than three weeks.

The government said it was an example of the need for international cooperation to deal with illegal migration.

Afghans were the best national arrive with a small boat According to home office figures until March 2025.

The Syrians formed the second largest group, and then people from Iran, Vietnam and Eritrea watched.

These five nations made up 61% of all arrival.

In 2024, almost one -third of 108,000 people in England came to a small boat.

The Ministry of the Interior may remove people who do not have the right to stay in the UK or refuse to allow them to enter.

However, the 1951 refugee contract determines the right to request asylum in a foreign state if a applicant can prove that they have faced a serious threat to life or freedom in their countries.
