Chinese Scientists Develop World’s First Pregnancy Robot, Redefining Future Of Parenthood | World News

In a striking development in reproductive technology, Chinese scientists create what they define as the world’s first “pregnancy robot ,, carrying a 10 -month pregnancy like a real person, ‘who can give birth to the human baby.

According to Telegraph’s report, Dr. Under the guidance of Zhang Qifeng, he is directed by Guangzhou -based Kaiwa Technology.

The system contains an artificial uterus into a humanoid body. A fetus will grow in an uterine environment simulated in the robot and take nutrients through a tube that copies the natural process.

Dr. Zhang explained that the technology is already “mature” and that the next step is to bury it in a humanoid body, so that it interacts with real individuals during pregnancy.

A prototype of this pregnancy robot is expected to be released in 2026 and will probably cost under 100,000 Yuan (USD $ 14,000).

Although some greet this as a potential solution for infertile individuals or those who cannot carry pregnancy, the concept fired a violent ethical and legal debate.

Critics pointed out that pregnancy is a deep complex biological process such as material hormone change, immune system interactions and psychological bond that cannot be easily reproduced on machines.

Domestic media and social platforms in China are already discussing the results. Supporters see technology as revolutionary and offer a new freedom for those who want to avoid the physical difficulties of pregnancy. However, others question whether robotic pregnancy can break the social norms around motherhood and child identity.

Meanwhile, Kaiwa technology is reported to have negotiations with authorities in Guangdong state to address regulatory, ethical and legal frameworks for this pioneering technology.

As long as the development continued, experts say that if this pregnancy robot could transform medical science, but he could force the society to rethink the ethics of birth and care.
