Karnataka to set up 6,500 public and 5,000 nursery schools: Minister

Primary and Secondary Minister Madhu Bangarappa said on August 17, the state government will establish 6,500 Karnataka public schools and 5,000 kindergartens in the next few years.

“All Karnataka public schools will have lessons between 1-12 in English and Kannada. A Karnataka State School will emerge in every gram of Panchayat. Nursery will provide rural students a pre-school education advantage,” he said.

“It seems to me that the demand for decades of the Chabbi people has taken place. I always believe that the sound of the school bell should be higher than the temple bell in a village. This will lead to multi -faceted development.”

He said that the Karnataka government was trying to address the issue of teacher scarcity. “Temporary teachers are appointed in the short term. Regular teachers will be appointed soon,” he said.

Authorized, up to 25,000 pre -university students were trained for free Neet and JEE exams, he said.

Santosh S. Lad, responsible for the region, said that the average literacy of India before independence was 20% to 25%. “Today we have achieved approximately 75% literacy. This is because of the focus of consecutive governments and public expenditures,” he said.

“Today we are faced with a few critical situations in the country. There is a report that says that more than 93,000 schools are closed and about 87% of young people have difficulty in finding a job.
