China and India should be partners, not adversaries says foreign minister

When Chinese Foreign Minister Wang came to Delhi for a two -day visit on Monday, India and China should see each other as “partners” instead of “enemies or threats”.

He met with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar – since 2020, this kind of second meeting between the two sides – a deadly conflict in the Galwan Valley in Ladakh, a controversial Himalayan border region, led to a completely degradation of bonds between countries.

Before a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, relations were now a “positive tendency” for cooperation.

Jaishankar said that India and China are trying to “progress from a difficult period in our ties”.

Two colleagues, from trade to pilgrimage and river data sharing, a series of discussions on a series of discussions.

Yi is planned to meet India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval for the ongoing negotiations to resolve the border dispute between the two countries.

The visit is seen as the last sign of dissolving in the vineyards between nuclear armed neighbors.

India and China agreed to patrol trips to increase tensions throughout the controversial Himalayan border in October last year.

Since then, the two sides have taken a series of steps to normalize the relationships that allow Indian pilgrims to visit the key places in the Tibetan Autonomous region this year. India also restarted visa services to Chinese tourists and agreed to continue to open border trade negotiations through the specified transitions.

There are also reports that direct flights between the two countries will continue this year.

Yi’s meetings are expected to attend the ground for Modi’s first visit to China seven years later this month, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), a regional security block.

The reports show that Modi could have bilateral interviews with China President Xi Jinping, but both sides did not confirm this.

The rapprochement between countries comes on the basis of India’s worsening bilateral relationship with the United States.

At the beginning of this month, US President Donald Trump imposed 25% more penalty for imports of India to buy oil and weapons from Russia and increased the total tariffs to 50% – the highest level of Asia.

On Monday, White House Trade Advisor Peter Navarro wrote an idea that he accused India of “relaxing both Russia and China” in Financial Times.

“India acts as a global swap for Russian oil, and the embargo crude oil into high -valuable exports, while the embargo gives Moscow the dollars it needs.”

“If India wants to be treated as a strategic partner of the United States, she needs to begin to behave like one,” he said.

After meeting with Monday, Jaishankar said that negotiations would include global developments.

“We are looking for a fair, balanced and multipolar world order, including a multipolar Asia.” He said.

“Reform is a very impartiality of the day. There is an obligation to maintain and increase stability in the current environment and global economy.”
