In the Supreme Court, a petition was opened to investigate the allegations of “dilution of votes-value” arising from the addition of imaginary entrances in the election roll of the election zone of the Mahadevapura Assembly, which is part of the Central Lok Sabha seat of Bengaluru.
The petition reiterated the concerns of Lok Sabha opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, who said that the allegation of fraud affects the foundations of election democracy and the integrity of the election roller.
Rohit Pandey, a petition defender, a Supreme Court defender, said that the names of the same voters are registered to more than one voters ”.
In this regard, he annexed the election photo ID card (Epic) numbers; Addresses of these voters; Election zones, including Mahadevapura in Karnataka, Jogeshwari in Maharashtra, and Lucknow East and Varanasi Canton; and cabin numbers.
“The epic number given by the Election Commission is distinguished into an individual. However, in the current case, voters hold votes in the four election zones within the country, which enables the judge laws and constitutional contribution to vote directly,” he said.

The allegation stressed how a voter was recorded in the same election area and at the same stand under different epic numbers.
‘Grave errors by ECI’
In Mahadevapura, the petition said that 10,652 voters have the same features such as home number or father’s name in various cabins in a election zone.
In an election zone, 40,009 voters were invalid and 10,452 reiterated.
In Maharashtra, approximately 39 Lakh new voters were added to the election roll within four months after the 2024 Delik Sabha elections. At the stand 350, Chandrapur said that approximately 80 voters were recorded in the same deserted house in the election zone.
Pandey said that this petition showed serious mistakes in the face of the records in the Indian Election Commission section.
“This type of manipulation of the voter list, 324 (EC’s free and fair elections) and 326 (universal adult voting right) under the full root of the constitutional guarantee,” he said.
