Legal Luminary K. Pratap Reddy No More

Haydarabad: K. Pratap Redy, a figure rising in the legal, human rights and educational fields of TaLangana, passed away on Thursday. He was 94 years old. He survived by his son, two daughters and their families. His grandson Avinash Desai is a senior consultant at the Supreme Court of TaLangana.
The last rituals will be held on Friday at the Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam on Jubilee Hills at noon.
Paradoxically, the tragedy is currently declared as a candidate for the vice president of the opposition.
Born in the Warangal region Pothugal on 11 April 1931, Pratap Redy completed his education in Warangal, followed his degree in the Urdu environment, and then studied law.
His famous career was marked with an unchanging commitment to justice, public service and social equality. He was appointed as a senior defender by the Supreme Court – a rare recognition in those days – accepted his deep legal intelligence and devotion. Andhra Pradesh served as a member of the Bar Association and the President of the Supreme Court of EP.
Pratap Redy’s contributions went beyond his elite practice. Former lawyer D. Prakash Redy and Parliament S. Niranjan Redy, including more than 175 young people who continued to be the judges of the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court trained. Others became senior defenders on their own. Mentoring shaped legal brotherhood, commitment to professional ethical vaccination and commitment to justice.
The quest for justice expanded to public life. In 1997, Maoist chaired the investigation commission on the allegation of atrocities and police follow -up. The report adopted by the government and ordered the implementation of the Supreme Court continues to be a turning point in the state’s commitment to human rights and accountability. In addition, Janata appealed to the Lok Sabha elections from Haydarabad with his party ticket.
Beyond the courts, Pratap Reddy deeply participated in education. He served as a board of trustees of several institutions throughout Haydarabad and Andhra Pradesh and reflected the commitment to women’s rights and opportunities, and was on the trust board of Mahila Abhyudaya Trust. As a lawyer and consultant, Deccan Medical College, Deccan Engineering College, Anwar-Uuloom College, Mubakam Jah Engineering College and Madina Education Association guided minority educational institutions and constantly advocated access to quality education.
A loyal human rights activist and a determined socialist, Citizens of democracy (CFD) and the founder of the Janata Party. He was also the president of both Pucl andhra Pradesh department and Vigil Indian movement, where he defended civilian freedoms and democratic values.
Pratap Redy will be remembered not only for its legal brightness and achievements, but also for the devotion to human rights, social justice and the rule of law. As a mentor and a guide, it leaves a beloved legacy for generations by lawyers, educational institutions and civil society. The transition points to the loss of a real Stalwart, which will continue to inspire for years.
