Jaishankar Holds Talks With Putin In Moscow Amid Ongoing US Criticism Over Russian Oil Purchases | India News

Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Thursday and held an important meeting in the Diplomatic dialogue of India-Russia.

In the early hours of the day, Eam Jaishankar met Lavrov with Russian counterparts, and held detailed discussions on developing binary ties as well as discussing issues related to Ukraine, Europe, Iran, West Asia, Afghanistan and Indian sub -continent.

The two leaders said the need to strengthen the multi -polar architecture of bilateral relations and to intensify their efforts to defend their political sovereignty to global southern countries.

“The exchange of views on the further intensification of political contacts at various levels, the deepening of trade and economic cooperation. Special attention was paid to the construction of sustainable transportation and logistics chains and financial interaction channels.

In the opening speeches during the meeting, Lavrov welcomed Eam Jaishankar for the next negotiations and said that India and Russia saw each other as privileged strategic partners.
