Will Serena Williams’s weight-loss admission help shed stigma of anti-obesity drugs?

Serena Williams, one of the most successful athletes of all time, spoke about using weight loss medications – he says, using these drugs to remove “stamped”.

Will it overcome a new sense of trust for those who use the drugs and drugs? And can honesty silence critics?

The 43 -year -old tennis star, who broke a record during his career and won 23 Grand Slam championships, was embodied in fitness and athletic abilities. However, after having a child, like many of us, he confessed to fighting to scroll these extra pounds.

Finally, Williams said he had to look at the Extra weight of the Today Show on TV in the USA as a “rival”. Despite the “five -hour training” and “running, walking, bikes, stairs”, he could not make this dust into his rivals in his tennis court – finally he says he has no choice except “trying something different”.

Most of his friends were using GLP -1 – the group of drugs that helped weight loss, so he decided to try it.

Williams is determined that the drug path is not easy to tell which brand it takes – it is not easy and that it is definitely not a shortcut to lose 31LB (14kg) in the last eight months.

There is skepticism about the timing of the latest transparency of the tennis star, and he became a spokesperson of RO, a company that sells GLP-1 brands such as GLP-1 brands such as GLP-1 brands (known as Mounjaro in England) and her husband is an investor.

Despite the potential side effects of taking the medicine, honesty will hit a nerve for many people – he says that many women speak to eliminate the shame he feels in using drugs to help them lose weight.

California University Feminist Research Assistant Associate Professor Caleb Luna, Serena Williams, a conversation of someone like a “breakthrough” says.

Using weight loss medications, they say that he helps criticizes “how people get out of the way out”.

“He gets rid of the cliché that these drugs are for fat people who are lazy and incompetent.

“Maybe it’s a good thing in this respect.”

However, Caleb also says that the need to resort to using the GLP-1 drug is a little “terrible” and makes them feel “a little sad”. The only thing he does is concern that he has become hard work and devotion, focusing on appearance and pressure on a certain way.

“The things that have achieved very few people in our time and history have achieved.

“But now it only shows how all these achievements can be weakened according to body size.

“Terrible, weight loss seems to be shadowing all these record achievements.”

Williams’ weight and appearance have been examined throughout his life. The burden does not diminish the pressure on the expectations of the society, no matter how much sports success in an athlete’s careers.

And even though it is the highest profile sports star using the weight loss medication, there are many other people who speak in the eyes of the people.

Oprah Winfrey says that he uses GLP-1 as a tool with exercise and healthy nutrition to stop himself “yo-ying” with his weight.

Actor Whoopi Goldberg says “two people” lost their weight Singer Kelly Clarkson, who said that he was “chased” by his “doctor” by his “doctor” after taking medication and accepting to take it, is between dozens of stars open to taking the medicine.

Williams left the tennis world behind in 2022, when he played the last match of his career in the US Open, but he still wanted to reach what he described as a “healthy weight” since the birth of Adina’s second child.

In an interview with The Today Show, he said that he felt “his body is missing” and could not go to what he felt comfortable despite intensive training.

Dr. Loughborough University Sports, Exercise and Health Sciences School of Behavioral Medicine Senior Research Assistant. Claire Madigan says distinguished athletes can find it hard to lose weight.

“They are accustomed to consuming too many calories and they can find it difficult when they leave sports – they need a change in behavior.”

Dr. Madigan, Williams’ın weight loss is not only due to medicine, “diet and physical activity has to focus on” said it is good to see.

“It is great to talk about how difficult it is to lose weight after having a baby.”

But Williams wondered if his message will disappear and even demotive some women. “Drugs are quite expensive and an average person can think that he is an elite athlete here, he has access to the gym, he has time, he had a nutritionist … And he had to use GLP-1”.

Dr. Madigan also expressed concern that the potential side effects of taking drugs that may contain gastrointestinal problems such as vomiting and diarrhea may have not been widely discussed in the promotion surrounding Williams’ announcement of gallbladder and kidney problems.

Williams said that he had no side effects and said that he had seen the benefits of all the hard work in the gym.

“My joints are much better,” he says, “I just did my control and the doctor said everything, including my blood sugar levels, it looks great.”

And, even though he no longer has a new era on tennis courts, he still breaks his records, with help, he says weight loss medications. Currently, half a marathon is training.

“I’m running more than ever,” he says proudly.
