Brampton man sought for allegedly violating parole with firearm

Peel Regional Police are seeking help from the public in locating a man in alleged violation of his parole and for firearms offences.

Shaquane Kevin Stewart, 25, of Brampton, was convicted of prior firearms charges and sentenced to a period behind bars.

After serving part of his sentence, he was released to serve the remainder in a Brampton halfway house and ordered to follow strict conditions.
After police discovered that Stewart, while on parole, was allegedly in possession of a loaded illegal firearm with it’s serial number removed, he has since fled his residential facility and his whereabouts are unknown.
Stewart’s parole has been revoked and he is currently wanted on a Canada-wide warrant by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad (ROPE).
He is also wanted by the Peel Regional Police for seven firearms offences.
Stewart is is described as 6-foot-3, about 220 pounds, with a dark complexion, short hair, brown eyes and a beard.

He should be considered armed and dangerous, and if seen, members of the public should call 911.

MAN, 33, WANTED FOR ASSAULT IN BEACHES
Toronto Police need help locating a 25-year-old man who is wanted for assault.
On Thursday around 12:30 a.m., police responded to the Kingston Rd. and Woodbine Ave. area where it was alleged the victim and suspect got into an altercation.
It’s further alleged the suspect exited his vehicle, ran toward the victim, tripped them and kicked the victim in the head while they were on the ground.

Cops say the victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Damarlo Garrick, 33, is wanted for assault cause bodily harm.

The suspect is described as six-feet-tall, with a thin build, black hair and a black beard. He last seen wearing black pants and a black/white hooded sweater.

It’s alleged the accused damaged and removed his GPS ankle monitoring device, then fled the area.
Zakariya Ahmed Dahir is wanted for failure to comply with a release order.
He’s described as 5-foot-8 with a thin build and black curly hair.

TWO MORE ARRESTS MADE IN ONLINE FRAUD SCAM
Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection with a year-long investigation into an online fraud scam in Prince Edward County – about two-and-a-half hours east of Toronto.
In October 2024, Ontario Provincial Police began investigating an incident in which an individual from Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory had allegedly been defrauded for over $100,000.

Diana Addae, 27, of Mississauga, and Kenneth Danumon, 23, of Guelph, turned themselves in to the OPP in Toronto on Wednesday after being the subjects of outstanding arrest warrants.
Both have been charged with six offences including two counts of fraud over $5,000.
Three other people – from Winnipeg, Guelph and Ottawa – were previously charged in connection with this case.

ROAD SAFETY BLITZ IN HALTON TARGETED UNSAFE VEHICLE
Halton Regional Police, supported by the Ontario Provincial Police and the Ministry of Transportation, held a three-day road safety blitz focusing on commercial motor vehicles between Aug. 19-21.
There were 82 CMV level 1 inspections, 26 CMV’s placed out of service, six sets of licence plates seized, 160 provincial offence notices issued, and two written warnings issued and two court summonses issued.
“These results speak for themselves in terms of both the need and effectiveness of these campaigns to identify and remove unsafe or unfit commercial motor vehicles from our roadways,” Staff-Sgt. Ryan Smith of the Traffic Services Unit, said in a statement.
“We will continue these similar efforts to keep our roads as safe as possible.”
