Request to close Mysuru palace for public on Sept. 1 and 2 in view of President’s visit

Pramoda giant Wadiyar, a former royal family of Mysore, asked the Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru to close the Palace of Mysuru to facilitate the security arrangements for the visit of President Droupadi Murmu on 2 September.
In a letter dated 21 August 2025, Mrs. Wadiyar, who addressed the Deputy Commissioner of the Palace Board of the Mysuru Palace Board, said that the invitation to the President was accepted to visit the palace.
Therefore, in the letter, the Palace of Mysuru must be closed to the public on September 1 and half a day for a day for a day as part of the security regulations in order to ensure that the President’s visit is carried out smoothly and safely.
Here, President Murmu is scheduled to come to the city on 1 September to attend the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the All India Speech and Hearing Institute.
