The campaigns were given a complete court hearing against the water guard due to allegations that customers would have to pay twice for the failures of the industry. River Eylem, who made a judicial examination against Ofwat, said that households should set foot on the invoice for decades of infrastructure negligence instead of investors.
River Eylem’s law President Emma Dearnaley said: “The Supreme Court said that we could take our case to court. This is related to the fact that the British people do not pay twice for the results of water companies who cannot invest in the infrastructure.
“At the same time, whether of WATER is appropriate for the purpose, the independent water commission examines important and timely questions about something.
Ofwat said that in December, average water bills in the UK and Wales will increase by 36% in the next five years.
The increase is equivalent to an average of £ 31 per year.
River Action argued that the regulator’s decision to increase invoices allowed water companies to charge customers twice: with the water bills that must first cover the infrastructure maintenance and then with new walks aiming to correct the same problems again.
