55th Ritzville Rodeo begins tomorrow

August 28 – Ritzville – People who watch Rodeo will sit a little more easily this weekend.
“We have brand new stands,” said Julie Hartz, a member of the Board of Directors of Ritzville Rodeo. “We are working on all summer. Everyone has a very good tanning working on.”
These tribunes will be filled this weekend for 55. Ritzville Rodeo, a homemade event that is very entertaining in a small area. Ritzville’s is an open rode, so everyone can enter and not part of the PRCA or NRPA circuits. Hartz said that Ritzville Rodeo is planned on Friday and Saturday, which means that some of the Friday contestants can make larger rodeos on Saturday.
Hartz, this year on Friday and Saturday, there will be two different action, he said. For several years, a group of local young women, Wild Card cheat rider, drowned in the crowd with the physical -challenging equestrian laws. But these ladies have a commitment on Friday before, so standing for them will be the brutal rider. The similarity of names is not a coincidence; Both groups were created by the McMillan family supplying animals for Rodeo. Hartz announced that the wild group riders are younger colleagues of joker riders. Elderly riders will perform on Saturday.
The festivals on Saturday start with the ritzville rodeo queen competition at 15:00 and then watch Stick Horse barrel races for children.
“We put small barrels on the green grass on the amphitheater, so everyone can take a rod horse and run the course.” He said. “Our announcer is in PA and any of the queens can come and help and make small prizes.”
Western Washington mounted shooters, Saturday Rodeo during the Rodeo will show a short horse shot, he said.
Hartz, “They go in and out and … Balloon shoots.” He said. “There are different obstacles courses and they accelerate it.”
Rodeo has a beer garden both nights and on Saturday night, a classic country in the Desert Highway Band beer garden.
“They played here a year ago, Hart Hartz said. “They’re really good.”
