AP CM Offers Support Price Of Rs 1,200 Per Quintal

Vijayawada: Prime Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced a great aid pack for troubled onion farmers on Thursday. Under this, onion stocks will be supplied with a support price of 1,200 RS per quintal.
The decision was taken after a investigation meeting in the State Secretariat, where CM examined the conditions of the dominant onion market and the difficulties faced by practitioners.
Naidu, authorities to buy onions from farmers immediately directed to action. “The market intervention fund should be used to buy onions and they should be marketed through Rythu bazaars. Onion farmers should not harm any costs.”
The marketing authorities asked Rythu Bazar to increase the number of Bazar and improve the infrastructure in these markets to upgrade to the next level.
