West Bengal CM hails Supreme Court’s intervention on detention of migrant workers

Western Bengal Prime Minister Mamata Bannerjee praised the intervention of a public interest case on 29 August 2025 Friday of the Supreme Court on the arrest of immigrant workers from the state in the regions of the country and said that the development was a great relief to the detained workers.
“It was directed to hear the claim of the migrant workers about the priority in the High Court – this comes to the workers who were detained as a great relief. The recognition of the unique context of Bengal, our homeland, gives hope to numerous Bengali -speaking workers who strengthen their families throughout India, Mrs Madın Banerjee explained in social media.
