SCO Nations condemned the expensive attack
For the first time, the SCO joint declaration specially mentioned the Specialgam terrorist attack and explicitly discussed cross -border terrorism.
The Declaration also warned against “double standards” on terrorism, which is emphasized by the new Delhi.
The joint statement also mentioned the attacks of Baloch rebels in Pakistan – a point that is part of the draft of previous defense ministers. This time, however, the expression went further further by adding references to cross -border terrorism and rejecting the double standards, many of which interpreted Pakistan as a diplomatic warning to Pakistan.
This was a sharp contrast from the meeting of SCO defense ministers in Qingdao, China, where the expensive attack was not in common in June. This neglect pushed the Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to reject the declaration and made it clear that India would not accept a selective approach to terrorism.
Since then, India has increased diplomatic efforts – the efforts that seem to have paid. At the current summit, the expensive attack took place only in a statement, but also made a strong statement condemning terrorism from the PM Modi de SCO stage. His statements underlined India’s irreconcilable position.
SCO -solving the SCO Joint Declaration
A closer look at the language used in the Joint Declaration reveals critical signals. The use of “cross -border” terrorism, which India constantly uses to describe Pakistan’s role in terrorism sponsored by terrorism.
In addition, the fact that Pakistan is widely understood to refer to the historical distinction between “good” and “bad” terrorists points to a broader international consensus in accordance with India’s view.
While Pakistan can try to return the outcome of the summit in favor of the diplomatic success, the facts on the ground show otherwise. Traditionally, China, the most powerful supporter in Pakistan in SCO, stepped back this time and gave little support to Islamabad during the critical debates.
