Army contingent departs for India-U.S. joint military exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas 2025’ in Alaska

An Indian Army group went to Fort Wainwright in Alaska to participate in the 21st edition of Yudh Abhyas, a military exercise of the annual military exercise with the United States planned between 1-14 September 2025.
The Indian Group, which consists of troops from the Madras Regiment Battalion, will be trained with the soldiers of the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment “Bobcats ,, which is a part of the 11th Air Department of the US Army.
For two weeks, troops will rehearse various tactical exercises such as Heliborne operations, use of surveillance assets and unmanned air systems, rock craft, wounded evacuation, war medical assistance and integrated employment of aviation and electronic war systems.
The subject experts in both armies will have UAS and counter -UAS operations, information war, communication and logistics. Exercise will result in tactical maneuvers that are common to high -altitude war scenarios by focusing on UN peace protection operations and increasing ready for multi -area challenges.
