India Sends Aid to Quake-Hit Afghanistan

New Delhi: After a series of earthquakes, who shot East Afghanistan, killed more than 800 people and injured more than 2800, India expanded urgent humanitarian aid to support the aid efforts in the region.
In a mission in X on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “India expanded humanitarian aid to Afghanistan after the earthquake.”
The assistance emphasized in one article contains truck images filled with rice sacks and other foodstuffs and symbolizes India’s commitment to stop by Afghanistan in this challenging period.
Monday morning, according to the National Seismology Center (NCS), a strong earthquake on a Richter scale hit Afghanistan and with the tremor felt throughout the region, including parts of Pakistan. This was followed by a series of aftershocks with sizes ranging from 4 to 5.
According to a report published by the United Nations Humanitarian Affairs Coordination Office (UNOCH), the earthquake took place in the province of Nangarhar, near the Pakistan border of Afghanistan, with the central base in the Kama region of the region.
Unocha, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar and Nuristan at least 800 people were killed in four provinces and 12,000 people were directly affected by preliminary reports, he said.
Previously, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that he spoke to Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and expressed his condolences on the loss of life in the earthquake that hit Afghanistan.
He also said that India sent aid to India with 15 tons of food materials moved to Kunar with 1000 family tents sent to Kabul and by the Indian mission there.
“Today, Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi spoke. He expressed our condolences for the loss of life in the earthquake. He said that India has delivered 1000 family tents in acceptance today.
According to Al Jazeera, Afghan Government Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, at least 812 people were killed and 2,817 wounded in the trembling.
