Each year, the lakhs of the candidates try this exam, but only a few are successful. Many candidates have failed many times before they achieve their goals. Such an inspiring story is IAS Deepesh Kumari, who broke the UPSC exam in the second ATTTEMPT.
Who is IAS Deepesh Kumari?
Deepesh Kumari’s story is stability and determination. Bharatpur, Rajasthan’s Atal Bandh region, growing in a small room, Deepesh’s family, struggled to end. His father Govind Kumar sold snacks such as Pakodas and Namkeen to support their seven families. Despite financial difficulties, Deepesh’s parents encouraged him to continue his education and never overlooked his dreams.
IAS Deepesh Kumari’s early life and education
Deepesh’s journey of education began at Shishu Aadarsh Vidya Mandir, whom he was successful in his work. He scored 98% in class 10 and 89% in class. His academic achievements paved the way for him to continue higher education. Deepesh continued to win the degree of B.Tech from MBM Engineering College in Jodhpur in the field of Civil Engineering and then received a M.Tech degree from IIT Bombay.
IAS Deepesh Kumari’s UPSC journey
After completing his education, Deepesh worked in a private company for a year before deciding to maintain his passion for public services. He started to prepare for the UPSC exam, but his first attempt in 2020 was not successful.
But Deepesh didn’t give up. He continued his preparation and took the exam again in 2021. This time, the UPSC Public Services Exam reached a 93 -in -the -Indian rank and was chosen for the IAS position. He also protected the 4th rank in the EWS category.

Deepesh’s success inspired his brothers. His little sister is now a doctor who serves at Safdarjung Hospital and his brothers are pursuing MBBS degrees in prestigious institutions such as AIIMS Guwahati and Latur. Deepesh’s success showed his family that everything is possible with hard work and determination.

After cleaning the UPSC exam, Deepesh was allocated to the Jharkhand squad for IAS training. After completing his education, he was currently assigned as Deputy Secretary in the Road Transport and Highways Department. As an IAS officer, he dedicated himself to serve the nation and to make a positive difference in people’s lives. It is a proof of its journey, hard work and devotion to the prestigious IAS position from a small room.
