US Open 2025 results: Carlos Alcaraz powers past Novak Djokovic to reach final in New York semi-finals
Carlos Alcaraz number two, 38 -year -old Novak Djokovic’i defeat to reach another US open finale, counting his youth.
The 22-year-old Spain Alcaraz was tested by 24 times the Great Champion Djokovic, but in the first male semi-final of Friday, 6-4 7-6 (7-4) had enough quality and energy to win 6-2.
In the first two sets, the margins were good, Alcaraz was rarely close to the best flowing, but the gap expanded as Serbia’s Djokovic became third in the third place.
Two tired couples from Djokovic put his opponent 3-1 forward and another came to a first match for Alcaraz – he beat a volleyball on Djokovic.
The seventh seed Djokovic was hung over the network while waiting to congratulate Alcaraz before leaving all the corners of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
2022 champion Alcaraz will play the best Italian seed Jannik Sinner and Canada 25th Seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final of Sunday’s final.
Alcaraz, “It sounds incredible in the final again – this means a lot for me,” he said.
“It wasn’t the best level of the tournament for me, but I got a cool head from the beginning and the end.”
