London faces first Tube strike since March 2023

London underground personnel launched a five -day strike on payments and conditions.
Members of the Railway, Maritime and Transportation (RMT) Union carried out actions on payment and fatigue management and asked for a 32 -hour week.
It will be a limited service until 18:00 on Sunday, and there will be little service between Monday and Thursday. Elizabeth line and underground will work normally, but it is expected to be much more intense with buses and roads.
For London, Transport offered a wage increase of 3.4% and said that he was “welcomed with more interaction with our unions”, but he said that a decrease in a 35 -hour contract is neither practical nor affordable.
