‘Last appeal’ for Australian mum jailed in Taiwan for drug smuggling

The daughter of an Australian woman, who sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment for drug smuggling in Taiwan, made a desperate objection to help.

Debbie Voulgaris was arrested at the Taoyuan International Airport about an hour west of the capital Taipei due to charges of drug trafficking at the end of 2023.

Five 58 -year -old mothers have been given a light of hope since then, a re -trial on her daughter Maria on social media was just weeks away.

Ms. Voulgaris’s daughter, the Federal government, calls to raise her mother’s case after two birthdays after two birthdays.

Parliamentary petition officials call on “architecture to defend human thought and make more investigations about the conditions of his punishment”.

The petition says, “Debbie Voulgaris is an Australian citizen who was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Taiwan after being deceived and founded by the people he trusts.”

“He claimed that he did not commit any crime and had fully cooperated with the authorities.

“Debbie is a kind, trustworthy and selfless person who makes the mistake of trusting the wrong people.

“Now it carries the exact weight of a crime that others are responsible for.

“The situation called for justice and compassion of thousands of people, led to a widespread public concern in Australia.”

The petition has 302 signatures so far and MS Voulgaris comes after a separate change that collects more than 13,000 signatures.

There is a significant urgency for Voulgaris, who manages the sound of Debbie social media pages, which are aware of all awareness in the case of his mother.

“With the last appeal approach, this is now the last chance of appeal. The last hope and ours,” Voulgaris said.

“He spent about a year to confront the death penalty. He lived in fear every day without knowing that he would live or die to see his children again.

“It is up to us to be the voice of Australia to us, to his children and his left listening and readings.”

Despite the situation, Ms. Voulgaris said that her and her brothers “definitely love Taiwan” and that their fights were not with the island country.

“This is an innocent woman about my mother who deserves to come home and not to be an ocean,” he said.

“I just want to be heard from his voice, the story is seen with open hearts and minds.”

Parliament’s petition will be closed on October 1. It will only be available for Australian citizens and officially presented to the Australian Parliament.
