Lalbaugcha Raja’s immersion was delayed for the first time in history. Here’s why

According to the authorities, Idol reached Girgaon Chowpatty before eight hours before a large 28 -hour regiment, which started from Lalbaug in the afternoon on Saturday afternoon. However, despite a few attempts, immersion could not be carried out as planned in the morning.
WHY IS DALation Delayed?
The immersion of Lalbaugcha’s Raja was postponed for various factors, including technical problems and tidal conditions.
The rising high tide, which reached 4.42 meters around 11:40, made the large idol impossible to maneuver the sea safely.
Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal, Sudhir Salavi’s honorary secretary, the arrival of the idol was a little late overlapping the beginning of the high tide. Since the platform of powerful water fluctuating is unstable, the first initiatives to carry the idol on a raft failed. The situation organizers forced the operations to pause the operations and wait for the tide to retreat.
At one point, the water level rose to the waist of the idol, made it difficult for the platform to swim and secure the rock and took it to deeper waters. For about three hours, volunteers and local fishermen fought in shallow waters to keep their idol balanced and stable.
Finally, at 16:45, after hours of uncertainty, idol was carefully shifted on a specially built raft with the help of hundreds of volunteers. The successful transfer triggered the thunderstorms of “Ganpathi Bapp Moria” and “Lalbaugcha Rajacha Vijay Aso from the sea of the dedicated dedicated waiting for anxiety.
Authorities confirmed that final immersion would only be possible only at night during the next high tide and then at around 23:00. The incident underlined not only the logistical challenges of Mumbai’s most popular Ganesh idol, but also the enormous commitment that kept the lakhs of the worshipers awake and awaited until the end of the 10 -day festival.
