Seven among 13 children hospitalised following mysterious infection recover

It is believed that seven children who were taken to hospital after the symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting were prevented in Panchayat after seven children were taken to hospital after being discharged on Sunday (September 7th). According to health officials, the remaining six children are currently under treatment and is expected to be discharged on Monday (September 8th).
In the last few days, 45 children had shown signs of diarrhea and vomiting. Among them, 22 people had to be admitted to the hospital. A health official said, “The children first became ill on September 1. This came to our attention on September 3 and we carried out intensive chlorine drivers and awareness campaigns. Water and feces samples were sent for tests. We could not find the cause of the disease, because we could not find any connection between cases. However, the situation is now under control.
The majority of the affected children were under five years of age. Panchayat President Mr. Gopi Muttath said, “A breastfeeding baby was hospitalized. Therefore, we could not find a model among the fields of infection. According to health authorities, this is a case of viral infection. After laboratory reports, we will get more details. Large cleaning drivers were made. In the houses in Panchayat, the chlorination of wells was realized.
“Fast measures such as chlorination drivers, awareness campaigns and ORS package distribution helped arrest the spread of the disease. For the first time, Panchayat faced such a health status,” he said.
