Briton, 82, who travelled world to ride trams, was killed in Lisbon funicular crash

A 82 -year -old British man was elected by the police as one of the victims of the Glória Fünikler accident in Lisbon last week.
Andrew David Kenneth Young of Holyhead was one of the 16 victims killed in the tram disaster in the Portuguese capital on Wednesday.
Mr. Young, mostly known as Daves, was a lifelong transportation enthusiast circulating the world to visit Heritage Railways and trams.
In a statement, his family said: “A comfort for his sons, mothers and siblings that his last moments are in pursuit of a hobby that gives him a lot of happiness.”
Mr. Young, Auchterander, Grows in Perthshire and moved to Hollyhead in 1980 and had a long career as a customs officer.
Expert officers continue to support the family demanding confidentiality at this time.
Among the three British killed in the accident when he got out of the funicular rail and hit a hotel. The 36 -year -old British couple Kayleight Gillian Smith and his 44 -year -old boyfriend William Nelson were chosen two other victims.
Mrs. Smith was the theater director and Mr. Nelson was a lecturer at Manchester’s Arden Theater School.
Mads theater in Macclesfield said on Friday night: “We must accept the death of Kayleight Smith and his partner Will Nelson in the Lisbon Fünicular Tragedy.
“Kayleigh was a valuable member of our society and made important contributions to both Mads and the drama in the North West. Indeed, a sad loss for all of us in the theater.”
The accident killed five Portuguese citizens, three British citizens, two Canadians, two South Korean, an American, one French, a Switzerland and a Ukrainian and wounded 22 more people.
