Engaged with Govt on reducing input cost for making steel, says Indian Steel Association Secy General
New Delhi [India]September 9 (Memorial): Indian Steel Association (ISA) began to argue to make the iron ore more appropriate to reduce the cost of steel production with the government.

According to Sahay, the steel demand in India is expected to grow steadily. “The increase in demand is around 7 percent, 8 percent in a place. 8 percent plus will continue. However, we will grow in the next one or two years. This year, the steel demand in the country was approximately 150 million tons. However, we will grow at least 7-8 percent each year.” He said.
Sahay, the government’s support to the steel industry, pointed out the active participation of policy makers. Sahay also mentioned the ongoing government action on issues such as anti-dumping measures. “There was a protection and there is an anti-dumping petition against Vietnam against the government. These are some of the actions.”
Speaking about carbonalization, Sahay said India is determined to obtain a net zero by 2070.
He announced that tariffs on trade with the US have not changed. Sahay, “India does not export steel to the United States. There was already a lot of tasks when it comes to steel from the United States. There is no change in the tariff. 50 percent earlier and 50 percent for everyone. He said.
