Germany should be leading auto sector in future, Merz says
Story: Germany should pioneer the accusation of the automobile industry to tend to electrification.
This was the message of Friedrich Merz, the country’s chancellor on Tuesday.
He was talking at the opening of the IAA Munich Motor Show.
“Let me put it even more clearly: We want to shape the transformation of the automotive industry instead of the return of the return and we want to take advantage of the great opportunities offered by the German automotive industry and a whole for Germany.”
The event comes with a strong competition of Europe’s automobile industry from Asian competitors.
It also makes it difficult to compete while dealing with commercial obstacles.
Merz said he plans to meet with car manufacturers, suppliers and other stakeholders in the automobile industry to discuss their difficulties.
It targets a summit in the next four to six weeks.
European automobile manufacturers hopes to change the noise about difficulties in this year’s event with a series of new models.
