WCMX: How ‘BMX in a wheelchair’ became online para-sport sensation

Tomas Woods, who wants to describe the sport he was a double -world champion, lowered him to the elevator field: “Basically BMX in a wheelchair.”

Woods is now sharing tips and tricks on Instagram and doing his best to enlarge sports beyond the online popularity.
Most of British WCMX athletes are popular at Instagram, which attracts thousands of followers with Woods, Lily Rice and Ben Sleet.
They publish pictures of their travels and competitions and videos of their tricks and skills – all wheelchairs proudly with the front and center.
“The community is very wide – Australia, Brazil, all over Europe,” he says. “It is very important to be online.
“I was getting on Graystone here and I had no idea what I was doing. After watching me and my coach Youtube clips, we will try to try and run back. Now we send instructors, we give back to future generations.”
