What to know about Charlie Kirk, Trump ally and conservative activist
Charlie Kirk was one of the highest profile conservative activists and media personalities in the United States and was a reliable ally of President Donald Trump.
Kirk, who said he had died after shooting at a Utah college on Wednesday, was known to organize open -air discussions on campuses throughout the country.
In 2012, at the age of 18, he founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a student organization aimed at spreading conservative ideals to liberally prone US colleges.
Social media and anonymous daily podcast usually discuss with students on issues such as transsexual identity, climate change, faith and family values.
Kirk, the son of an architect who grew up in the Chicago suburb of Prospect Heights, joined a community college near Chicago before leaving him to dedicate political activism. The distinguished US Military Academy failed for West Point.
While Kirk discussed with students and academics on esoteric issues such as post-modernism, he referred to the lack of university degrees in the tongue on the cheek.
His role in Tpusa began after President Barack Obama was re -elected in 2012.
Kirk toured the country that spoke at the popular republican events among the members of the Ultra Conservative Tea Party movement. Tpusa now has more than 850 colleges.
Kirk, an enthusiastic speaker, addressed the Oxford Union earlier this year and wrote the 2020 best -selling maga doctrine.
Tpusa played an important role in voting for Trump and other Republican candidates in last year’s elections. Millennial was widely loan by helping to record tens of thousands of new voters and turn Arizona into Trump.
In January, Kirk joined the opening of Trump at Washington DC and a regular visitor at the White House during both Trump.
The president and his deputy valued Kirk’s political antenna for a great movement to make America wonder again.
It was spoken in the Republican contracts and last year, Donald Trump paid a great speech at a turning point conference in Arizona.
Earlier this year, Trump’s son Donald went to Greenland with Trump JR, because he argued that then the President of the United States should have the North Pole region.
Kirk’s Evangelical Christian religion and his family – married a former lady Arizona with two children – in politics, the front and center of the conservative activism was seen as a very polar figure.
Perhaps the greatest praise of his contribution to Republican politics came from Trump in a clip at the beginning of Kirk’s podcast.
The President says: “I want to thank Charlie, an incredible man, his soul, his love for this country, to build one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created.”
Kirk, many political and social discussions in events, and weapon control in Podcasts is one of them.
