After the thirst is broken, there will be no pokkali farm in the Maruvakkad pad field fields in Chellanam Panchayat, and threatens to wash the paddy seeds planted by the rising water level in about 2.50 acres.
After a legal notification sent to the Chellanam Agricultural Officer by Marvakkad Padashekhara Karshaka Samithi, the pump had to be deciphered after demanding the delivery of the pump house key. The regional administration allowed Pokkali Paddy farmers to use the pump house and the Pokkali land development administration, which was chaired by the regional collector, financed the pump operator’s wage until 4 September.
Although Samithi had suspended thirst on July 20, he had to dry the fields and deliver them for Pokkali farm until April 15th. Farmers had to take their lawsuits before the Padashekhara Samithi’s turnkey for the pump house, before Padashekhara Samithi was given to the Pump House, before the Minister of Agriculture and the Regional Collector. It rises in the fields.
At the meeting of stakeholders called by G. Priyanka on Wednesday, Samithi refused to cooperate and dehydrate. Ik We wanted to continue to thirst at the expense, but the padashekhara Samithi decreased. If the salinity in water goes beyond 8 ppm [parts per million]It will affect the flowering of seeds and cause straw. The salinity level is connected to the monsoon and the seeds we planted if it goes beyond the allowed limit will be wasted, Pok says Pokkali farmer Francis Kalathungal.
Since Samithi insisted on giving priority to Salin aquaculture growing on Pokkali farming, the Deputy Director of Fisheries who participated in the meeting warned those who refuse to undertake paddy agriculture for aquaculture. According to the rules, in the seven months of the year between April 15 and 15 November, paddy farming and aquaculture should be cultivated for the remaining five months. According to the Protection of the Kerala Paddy Land and the Wetland Law, the relevant local organ should take the initiative to deliver the paddy fields that remain in a row for three consecutive years, although it is frequently observed in violation.
The Regional Administration made sure that paddy farming will be guaranteed in Marudakkad next year. The Agricultural Department also prepared an action plan to ensure that the 465 acres of 260 acres of cultivated land in Maruvakkad from next season to Pokkali farming and ensured that aquaculture breeding is not given priority to paddy agriculture.
