Trump says patience on Putin running out, NATO beefs up

US President Donald Trump said that his patience for Russian President Vladimir Putin has exhausted, but stopped threatening new sanctions on the Ukraine War.

“Yes. Some kind of exhaustion and running out.”

In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that he had a good relationship with Putin for a long time, but was disappointed that he could not end the war.

“We should go down very, very strongly,” he said.

Trump said that sanctions on banks and oil are an option with tariffs, but European countries should also participate.

“But I did it anyway. I did a lot,” Trump said, one of the biggest buyers of Russian oil, India, the US, said that he was facing a 50 percent tariff in his exports to the United States.

“This is not an easy thing. This is a great deal and creation with India,” he said.

“And remember that, it’s a European problem, much more than our problem.”

Secretary -General Mark Rutte said that the NATO military alliance on Friday started an operation called East Sentry to support the defense of the eastern wing of Europe in response to Russian drone attacks on Friday.

“As NATO, we must clearly state our decision and our region, and this is exactly what the Eastern Sentry is designed to do it,” Rutte said at a press conference at the NATO headquarters. He said.

“This military activity will begin in the coming days and contain a series of assets, including Denmark, France, the United Kingdom and others,” NATO’s best commander US Air Force General Alexus Grynkewich. He said.

Rutte said that NATO is still evaluating the possible purpose behind the attack, which led to a few drones of Poland and allied NATO forces – NATO has taken such an action since Russia’s 2022 Ukraine invasion.

However, he said that Russia’s action was “reckless and unacceptable”, whether intention or not.

Russia said that their forces attacked Ukraine during drone attacks and did not aim to achieve any target in Poland.

Polish officials refused to explain, saying that the attack was a deliberate attack.

Grynkewich said Eastern Sentry was designed as a flexible and integrated operation to support defenses throughout the eastern wing of NATO.

“During the Polish and the alliance, citizens should be guaranteed by our rapid reaction at the beginning of this week and today with our important announcement.” He said.

NATO has important powers in Eastern Europe, including thousands of soldiers.

In the new operation, he did not put a figure on how many additional unions would participate.

The announcement of two F -16 fighter aircraft and a frigate from Denmark, three Rafale fighter aircraft from France and four Eurofighter jets from Germany, including a modest number of additional military assets.

However, Grynkewich said that the new operation was about adopting a more flexible approach to defend the eastern wing as a whole, rather than having more static forces devoted to a particular area.

“In the Eastern wing, we will set up and change our stance in a way to maintain hostility, but at the same time we will respond to certain threats when we see that they have emerged,” he said.
