US government role to be excluded in review into Harry Dunn’s death | UK news

A parliamentary review of the British external office of the external office of the young motorcyclist Harry Dunn will not include the role or examination of the US government’s role or actions.
The 19 -year -old family met with senior officials at the Foreign Affairs, Community of Nations and Development (FCDO) on Wednesday, which was said to be managed by the former prisons Anne Owers Chief Inspector.
The PA News Agency is expected to examine FCDO’s support to the Dunn family after Harry was killed by an former US Foreign Ministry employee in a road accident in Northamponshire in 2019.
The American driver Anne Sacoollas had a diplomatic immunity after the event other than Raf Crough Croughton before a senior Foreign Officer official said they had to put it on the next flight.
PA understands that the planned examination, which is planned to last for three months, will also look at the actions taken by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the months after Harry’s death and the nature of taking internal decisions.
It will also try to define the courses to be learned for FCDO for comparable future situations.
The participation of the US government, which claims diplomatic immunity on behalf of Sacoollas, will not be examined with any problems discussed at the previous court hearings.
“I think the family feels that we will leave a legacy for Harry, so no family should be treated by their governments.
“The American government was really stepping on their rights, no one from the government came to the forefront to help them.
“Dame Anne will take care of all this and will make a series of suggestions to David Lammy, where they need the support and representation of the government they need here or abroad. So we are very pleased.
“In the end, the reason for getting justice for Harry was not due to the British government, thanks to the British people on both sides of the Atlantic and the media, thanks to the media that speaks the truth to power and is sure that we take them into account.”
Last week, the Northamponshire police apologized for “clear and important deficiencies ında in Dunn’s investigation into the death of Dunn after a review. He found that the power was “failing his family on a series of fronts”.
