Dementia experts reveal the heartbreaking trait new patients have in common

Dementia has been accepted as old age disease for a long time.

In general, one out of 14 people improves Alzheimer’s disease, the most common form hits up to 85 years of age until the age of 65.

Most patients are still retirement age or larger, but doctors warn that the disease hit the young Americans than ever.

In fact, the number of dementia cases in people under the age of 65 increased more than two floors between 1990 and 2021. The latest research is more than 40 percent of the risk of developing dementia at any time after the age of 55.

Less -known forms of the disease, such as Frontotemporal Dementia, which tends to influence adults under the age of 40, have also become more common in recent years.

Speaking with Daily Mail at the world’s largest dementia conference in July, neurologists warned that younger and younger patients have stepped into their offices, that they could no longer follow their meeting calendars or remember where they put their keys.

They said that some of the increase in the early demonstone may be tested earlier than their parents and grandfather, especially if there was a family history.

However, they gave alarm about chronic diseases and other lifestyle factors that are increasingly disturbing young people such as diabetes, obesity, depression and stress.

In one of the most tragic early -onset dementia cases, Robin Williams had suffered from Lewy body dementia in 2014 after he died with suicide at the age of 63. In 2009, actress was depicted with Zelda Williams.

At the University of Western Ontario in Canada, Creyos Chief Scientific Officer Daily Mail, Creyos, a professor of cognitive and imaging at the University of Western Ontario, said: ‘We see people younger and see people with different types of dementia.

‘In the last 15 or 20 years, we went to Alzheimer’s disease from the focal point in a square way, they talked about these people, and now the release of Frontotemporal Dementia, Vascular Dementia, Lewy Body Dementia, they emerge in many different types of dementia and sometimes fluently different ways.’

Dementia is a umbrella term used to identify a series of progressive neurological disorders that affect memory, thinking and behavior.

Common symptoms include memory loss, weak judiciary, confusion, recurrence questions, difficulty communication, longer lasting, impulsive movement and mobility problems to complete normal daily tasks.

Alzheimer’s disease, which affects approximately 7 million Americans, is the most common form and usually affects people over 65 years of age and the risk increases with age. However, the latest research, approximately 200,000 people have an early start Alzheimer’s.

Dr. Nyu Langone in New York, Professor of Neurology and Telehealth Platform Isaac Health’s chief medical officer. Joel Salinas, Daily Mail, most people who were dementia was diagnosed after the age of 65, while the disease hit long before the patient’s awareness, he said.

He said to this website: ‘We know that these conditions have started to develop for 10 or 20 years without clearly noticing symptoms, and these symptoms are present in the earliest symptoms that are really thin.

‘We want to be better in determining the places they are in this fine range.’

Both doctors said that young patients who come to Daily Mail clinics are less likely to come with stereotype signs such as forgetting or forgetting who their loved ones are.

Dr Salinas said: ‘Anxiety can make an early presentation. Social insulation can be an early presentation.

‘I think that these symptoms still have any more deteriorating cognitive deficiencies that suddenly deteriorate, so I worry about having difficulty in remembering, or we understand whether the brain has manifestations.’

Young patients may have problems in organizing around the house or around the house, which shows a decrease in working memory. Obsessive behaviors are also common

Dr Salinas also pointed out a example of a writer who had difficulty finding a typical word in a piece and the difficulty of worsening over time.

He said: ‘If he has difficulty reaching these words and gets worse over time, he actually doesn’t remember a red flag, forget a kind of keys or walk into a room and remember why I entered the room.

But in fact, the key is to see these changes that are permanent and gradually worsening over time such as six months to one or two years. Then I would think of it as something that really should be discussed. ‘

Although it is not known that dementia is increasingly influenced by young Americans, lifestyle factors probably play an important role.

Last year, a Lancet commission study found that approximately 40 percent of Alzheimer’s cases could be attributed to 14 replaceable risk factors, including high cholesterol, diabetes, obesity and depression.

And under the risk of dementia, an open study of 2,000 Americans at the International Conference of the Alzheimer’s Association (AAIC) in July, strict diet and exercise regimes helped to perform significantly better in cognitive tests.

Most of these risk factors are increasing in America, including young people. CDC data show that obesity prevalence has doubled in adults from 1990 to 2021, and 40 percent of adults are now accepted as obese.

The prevalence of diabetes increased from about 10 percent to 14 percent in 2000 in 2000, and among the people under 44 years of age increased by 20 percent in 2024 compared to 2017.

These conditions trigger inflammation in the body that supports the accumulation of toxic proteins that damage cells and kill brain cells, including the brain.

Dr Owen said: ‘I think the dementia was always a really mysterious illness, not to other people who seem to be randomly hitting some people.

`Now you see more people with cognitive changes and potentially demons at a younger age. This is a by -product of the fact that almost young people develop diabetes, young people become obese, and young people have anxiety and depression. There is an increase in mental health difficulties that tend to influence young people. ‘

Mental health is another key factor, emphasized.

CDC data shows that the percentage of adults with symptoms of anxiety increased from 16 percent to 18 percent in 2019 in 2019. Meanwhile, depression increased from 10.5 percent to 18 percent in 2015 to 18 percent.

Dr Owen said: ‘In today’s world, there are many other factors that young people who contribute to this kind of cognitive mental health crisis are probably better than an outbreak, but I think one of them is anxiety and stress.

“ No questions, young people more stress.

‘People are worried about their future. They’re worried about their employment. They’re worried about their health before. We know that stress has a harmful effect on brain functions. ‘

Dr. Salinas also saw that more patients were considered as a precaution for dementia, even though lifestyle factors and mental health in the game.

He said: ‘I can say that we see more people who came to be evaluated at a young age, because I guess partly [there are] Cultural changes around the importance of taking these problems early. ‘

Dr Owen called young Americans who noticed problems for medical care, as early intervention opened the doors of getting more effective treatments and clinical studies, problems focusing, personality changes, recalling words, and other fine signs.

He said to this website: ‘Early detection is very important. The sooner you enter, the more effective it will be. ‘
