“Although there are support indications of others in administration, it is important that the Prime Minister hears it directly from the President,” he said.

According to Mike Hughes, Director of Defense Strategy of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, it makes Australia a much more valuable ally.

“Australia’s ships, especially the ability to build, maintain, maintain and repair maritime military ships, are almost a complete lack of investment,” he said.

“When the international geopolitical environment is worsening, Australia needs to invest in these dominant skills, given that we have spent for decades free of charge from others.”

Defense Minister Richard Marles described the $ 12 billion financing as “the greatest peace time increase in Australia’s defense expenditures ve and described the total expenditures as 25 billion dollars.

Opposition Defense Spokesman Angus Taylor said he was delayed and did not go far enough to support the rotation of the US and British submarines until the end of the 2030s
