Monkey Stranded On Electric Pole In Cuttack, Rescued After 3 hours

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha’s Cuttack’s morning passengers in the Kalinga Square in the Choudwar block were treated for an unusual show on Tuesday – a monkey perfected on the electric pole refuses to bud for about three hours.

What started as a curious landscape has soon turned into a tense rescue drama. The monkey splashed from the tree to the tree suddenly took out the electric pole and froze. The audience watched the increasing concern, because the animal did not show a sign of climbing down.

Choudwar Division Forester Bhagaban Chandra Palei said, “This was tense for a few hours. The monkey suddenly climbed the pole and only refused to go down. We had to wait until the firefighters carefully rescued them carefully. Fortunately, the animal is now safe.”
