Ex-British Army soldier charged with murder after woman’s body found dumped in septic tank | World | News

After the body of a woman’s body was found in a septic tank behind a hotel in Kenya, an arrest warrant was issued for the British citizen.

An investigation in 2018 said that Agnes Wanjiru was killed by British soldiers after being discovered near a British army base two months after his disappearance in March 2012.

His 21 -year -old family welcomed the arrest warrant given by the Supreme Court judge Alexander Mutasi.

Reports say that the suspect’s order forced them to appear in front of the court on charges of murder.

According to reports, a British military sex worker has already admitted the murder.

Wanjiru’s investigation, Nanyuki, was seen in Kenya with British soldiers.

In a post -death examination, he concluded that he died as a result of knife sounds on his chest and stomach.

There was also evidence that it was beaten, but it was not clear that his body was sexually assaulted because of his condition.

The police in Kenya reopened the case to Mrs. Wanjiru’s murder in 2021 after saying that their family was not sentenced to killing.

Defense Minister John Healey said that at a meeting held in April, Kenya President William Ruto would raise the issue and emphasize the need to “accelerate progress” in the case before the meeting.

A statement published by the law firm Leigh Day on Tuesday on behalf of Mrs. Wanjiru’s family said: “We have experienced for more than a decade with the pain of Agnes’s death.

“Reports of an arrest warrant against a UK citizen are an important moment for us and are incredibly welcomed for us.

“This points to the beginning of justice for our dear Agnes.”

The United Kingdom Government Spokesman said: “Our thoughts are staying with the Aggnes Wanjiru family and we are definitely determined to help them secure justice.

“We understand that Kenya Public Prosecutor’s Office should be tried in 2012 for the murder of Mrs. Wanjiru in 2012.

He continued: “This is subject to the ongoing legal procedures and we will not make any more comments at this stage.”
