Tasmania Devils AFL bid suffers major blow

The Tasmanian Planning Commission advised Hobart to build a stadium in Hobart’s Macquarie Point with a major blow to Tasmania Devils’s offer to participate in AFL.

The panel used a blunt language while presenting a proposal in a report published on Wednesday.

“The panel suggests that the project should not continue… The panel concluded that the benefits are more outweighed than beliefs.”

“Cost benefit analysis shows that the construction and operation of the stadium has shown that the Tasmanian community has a significant net social cost”.
