Charlie Kirk's final moments emotionally detailed by mentor Frank Turek: 'He was with Jesus already'

Christian Apologist and writer Frank Turek was only a meter away when he was assassinated at the Utah Valley University, the founder of the United States. In a new Podcast section, he told the hospital where the September 10 shoot and crazy rush, where doctors pronounce the 31 -year -old dead.

Kirk first reached Turek years ago for Mentoring in Christian apologizing.

The relationships bloomed, he said he came to see Turek Kirk as a son.

On the morning of the event, Turek joined Kirk’s team on a car voyage to Utah Valley University and discussed potential student questions and fine -tuning answers.

After making a quick stop to talk to a local entrepreneur group, the team came to the open -air venue, and Kirk began to take pictures with the supporters and launch a hat in the big, energetic crowd.

Although Turek told Kirk that he was concerned about the nearby buildings and security risks they could pos, he said he trusted Kirk’s private security and local police details.

“I’m still a phone and my bride told me that it was the first words in my mouth, ‘No, No, No, No, No.’ … If your son was shot, what would you do… I had to do a way to save him, I had to do something.

The Turek and the security team jumped to the SUV, where they traveled to the event, and were thrown into the hospital while making CPR and reading the prayers.

“And Charlie is too long, we can’t close the door,” he said. “We took four miles … up to the hospital when the door is open.”

He said he continued to shout: “Come on! Come on! Come on! Come on!”

Turek said he realized that Kirk had gone while running to the hospital.

“Charlie wasn’t there,” Turek said with tears. “His eyes were fixed. He wasn’t looking at me, he was looking at eternity with me. He was already with Jesus. He was instantly killed and he certainly didn’t feel pain.”

Despite his best efforts, Turek said he had nothing to save Kirk.

“This is a comfort, Charlie didn’t suffer,” he said. “He was gone. He was with Jesus. He was not from the body – with the Lord. He was there.”

According to Turek, doctors briefly restored Kirk’s pulse, but a surgeon said Kirk died in half an hour.

Hospital staff described Kirk’s injuries as “disaster”.

When Erika came to the hospital, Turek said that he promised to continue his legacy, and even took some time to secure him in his own anguish.

“He loved you and was doing what he wanted to do,” he said. “Then we just held each other and said that Charlie wanted to continue her legacy.… That woman will not be rejected.

The group did not have access to the SUV or personal belongings they traveled due to the first police investigation. However, when the vehicle was cleaned, Turek said that Erika wanted his husband’s cross necklace disappeared during a hurry.

Turek, the team took him to the hospital Kirk’in on his own computer bag found in his own.

Erika would later hold the necklace in a heartbreaking photo taken while accompanying his body with a chapel in Arizona.

During the Podcast section, Turek described Kirk as a fearless, brutal Christ -based leader.

He stressed Kirk’s humility, discipline and his devotion to the family, and returned to the critics whom Kirk said “twist” some of his more controversial statements.

In one of his last texts the day before he was killed, Kirk sent him the Bible verse 1 Corinthians 16: 9: “A wide gate was opened for effective work and there are many enemies.”
