Indian Coast Guard launches fast patrol vessel ‘Adamya’ in Odisha coast

Authorities, Paradip (Odisha): India Coast Guard (ICG) on Friday on the coast of Odisha fast patrol ship ‘Adama’ launched.

The joint secretary (Defense Policy, Armed Forces Wing, CSD & Planning) Satyajit Mohanty officially assigned the ship with a function here.

This is between eight FPVs built by the Goa shipyard Limited for ICG. This FPV will be deployed in Paradip.
According to an official, Paradip said that the purpose of placing the FPV with a speed of 50 kmph or 27 knots in the paradip was to provide appropriate patrol, to control infiltration and piracy and to save those trapped in deep seas.

He said FPV would have five officers and 34 other staff.

Authorized, maritime law enforcement officers, coastal supervision, search and rescue operations and India’s exclusive economic region (EEZ) will help to protect, he added.
